🔥 Highlights and Hot Takes
How They Got the Job
“I’m a Christian. I’m religious. I’m spiritual.” It was a combination of grace + timing + luck + preparedness. Daniella made sure she showed up at school. “I wanted to get out with people remembering my name and with a stronger network.” One of her professors know somebody at FCB and encouraged Daniella to apply, so she applied as a referral and got hired.
Mistake Made
Using the wrong tone in client communication. Learn how to choose the right language for the situation. Oh yeah, once I even called the client a wrong name.
“I needed to learn how to phrase things for external clients. Not internal or personal language.”
Lesson Learned
Be organized. You need to organize and prioritize.
“My manager helped me structure my day/week better so I wouldn’t be as stressed trying to do everything, everywhere all at once.”
Pro Tip
Big 3. Medium 5. X Next. Big 3 things for the day. Medium 5 things for the week. Next through the month. It helps to write it down–get it out of your head so you don’t need to worry about it right now.
